Hendrik Doobe
Hendrik Doobe supports the team of Schmitz Global Partners LLP monitoring regulatory developments in Europe. He is a Research Associate at the Institute of Law and Economics in Hamburg lecturing different private law topics with a focus on Corporate Law and Financial Regulation at the University of Hamburg. Mr. Doobe is working on his thesis exploring the influence institutional investors currently have and should have on the corporate governance of their investments. He is hoping that the economic analysis of law can give regulators in Europe insights on how to react to some aspects of the current crisis. Mr. Doobe was educated at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. During his studies he has gained practical experience at large law firms in Frankfurt and Paris as well as Deutsche Bank and McKinsey&Company. He speaks and reads German, English and French fluently.
